Formula 1 and Indycar are the biggest Racing Competitions in the World. Formula 1 is the pinnacle of single-seater racing, known for its cutting-edge technology, high-speed circuits, and global appeal IndyCar, on the other hand, offers a different flavor of racing. But what is actually the difference between them?
Yuven Sundaramoorthy, a 21-year-old racer who won IndyCar’s Road to Indy Program in 2022, became the first racer of Indian descent to do so. He is the first driver with Indian roots to make a name in the American racing scene.
In a recent interview with The Sports Room Yuven opened up on the actual difference between Formula 1 and Indycar.
“It’s obviously that big debate right between Indy and Formula 1 I think they’re very different things I think Formula 1 Is an engineering competition right cause all the cars are engineered by the massive teams of super talented engineers and stuff like that but in the end, it’s the faster car tends to win more often or not as you can see it in the latest couple years but indeed everything is a lot more spec so I consider Indy a Racing competition where F1s an engineering competition.”
Yuven Sundaramoorthy Opens up on How The Competition in Indycar is different from the Competiton in Formula 1
Yuven Sundaramoorthy then went on to talk about how tough competition is for Indycar drivers as it has a different winner every year unlike Formula 1.
“I think so far in Indy every race has had a different winner and that’s pretty consistent every year so you never know who’s gonna win the race and it’s you can qualify and poll and still not win the race and I think there is they said 152 passes or something like that in the last race so definitely a bit much more entertaining thing to be driving in cause you can always fight for the win no matter what so that’s kind of the part for me that it’s super nice to be as a racer”
Formula 1 and Indycar are both special and exciting in their own way and they both never fail to entertain their fans.
Yuven Sundaramoorthy is surely an inspiration for many little boys from third-world countries who dream of becoming a racer someday. He surely has the talent to win over the world and make them realize that anyone can become a racer.
