before he takes on Floyd Mayweather Jr on 6th June, YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul has found his inspiration in none other than Hasbulla Magomedov, the most viral name in the combat sports community at present.
A Dagestani TikToker and social media icon, Hasbulla Magomedov gained popularity across the globe for their pre-fight press conference against Kazakhstani rapper Abdu Rozik, promoted by mixed martial artist Asxab Tamaev aka the “Russian Hulk”.
Currently, the world of combat sports is split into showing their support towards Hasbulla and Rozik. The former, who goes by his nickname “Mini Khabib” is a well known companion of the former UFC Lightweight champion, while Armenian MMA star Dillon Danis recently backed Rozik for their fight.
Meanwhile, Hasbulla has found a new supporter amidst the big names in boxing, and its none other than Logan Paul, who is just days away before his blockbuster exhibition fight against fifteen times world champion Mayweather.
Logan Paul calls Hasbulla “the fiercest warrior the world has ever seen”
Unlike his brother Jake who is 3-0 in his pro boxing career with all three of his wins coming from knockouts, Logan Paul’s only pro bout against fellow YouTube icon Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji aka KSI back in 2019 ended in a split decision defeat, and now on his exhibition boxing debut, “The Maverick” is up against one of the greatest ever in the sport.
However, the American is nothing but positive about the fight and at a recent media event, Logan revealed that his inspiration for the fight is coming from Hasbulla, whom he also wants present at the Hard Rock Stadium.
“I know as long as I channel my inner Hasbulla, the greatest fighter of our time, we are going to get the job done,” said Paul at the event.
“I’m channeling him. The fiercest warrior the world has ever seen. We love Hasbulla. I want him to walk out with me. Give me Hasbulla!” the 26-year-old added.
Aside from his much-anticipated fight against Rozik, Hasbulla has become famous for several other reasons, from his impersonations of Khabib on numerous occasions, as well as brawling against his pet monkey, and much more.
