Chris Hemsworth reflects on getting the role of Hulk Hogan

Last year the talks of the movie had begun and Hemsworth said in an interview that he was determined to not only “put on more size” but also expertise Hogan’s accent.

He said: “I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing.”

Hemsworth had added that he will have to dye his hair blonde and add in some balding. With that he would have to add a mustache to pull off Hogan’s signature look.

Todd Phillips of The Joker will be in the role of director of the movie, while Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been announced as executive producers.

Hulk Hogan was one of two hosts at WrestleMania 37 which took place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. Hogan and Titus O’Neil did a great job as hosts but Hogan was not well received by the fans.

It was due to the two-time Hall of Famer’s controversy over racist remarks. He received immense amount of boos and it had even surprised Titus O’Neil.

Hogan had previously addressed the comments in a 2016 interview on The View. He seems to have regretted his actions. He said, “It’s probably the stupidest thing I ever said. The people who know me know I’m not a racist.”

WWE had banned him and removed him from WWE Hall of Fame but later on he got reinstated.
