Jeff Gordon shared a video on X sharing the tips that he used to do that helped him at Martinsville. Gordon shared how he used to utilize the line and breaks gently as the tight turns of Martinsville, gentle braking is crucial. Gradually ease off the throttle and apply the brakes to maintain control while entering the corners.
Gordon further shared that the strategy for Martinsville’s straightaways is short, so important to maximize the speed through corners. Carry momentum by hugging the inside line and minimizing any unnecessary lateral movement.

Bob Posckrass shared a story of Geoff Bodine of his Truck’s fatal crash and how he survived from it. On Lap 57 of the race, an incident occurred involving Kurt Busch, Rob Morgan, and Geoffrey Bodine. Morgan’s truck made contact with Bodine’s No. 15 Ford, propelling it into the wall and launching it into the catch fence at full velocity.
The impact was severe, peeling the truck apart piece by piece and even dislodging the engine. A fireball erupted, and the truck landed upside-down, skidding down the track. Despite the horrific crash, Geoffrey Bodine managed to exit the cockpit with the aid of safety personnel and reach the ground. His injuries were significant: a concussion, vertebral fractures, and a fractured wrist.
Many who witnessed the crash initially believed that Bodine couldn’t have survived the brutal crash but the miracle happened even after the huge severity.
