James Harden has been settling well into the Brooklyn Nets team after dropping 30 plus points in his first two matches for the team. One of the reasons why Harden had shortlisted Nets as his preferred destination was due to wish to reunite with Kevin Durant.

James Harden had formed a prolific partnership with Kevin Durant during their time in Oklahoma. The duo had steered the Thunder to the NBA Finals as well in the three years that they were together.

The former Rockets player is touted to be the final piece of the puzzle for the Nets, who wish to be a dominant franchise in the east and add silverware to their cabinet. The Nets are yet to get into full throttle due to Kyrie Irving’s absence which has halted their pursuit of playing the trio of him, Harden and Durant.

Among the three, the eight-time all star is the only one without an NBA Championship ring. Durant won during his stint with the Golden State Warriors while Irving has the ring from his title win with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Beard briefly commented about his thoughts after reuniting with Harden.

“We were young in Oklahoma City. We’re grown men now.” Harden stated while meaning business.

After experiencing a rare minor blip in form where he failed to register 20 points for four games in a row, Harden set the stage ablaze in his debut for the Nets.

He became the first player to notch a triple-double on his debut and forged impeccable chemistry with Durant on the court.

The player turned up once again with 34 massive points as the franchise defeated table toppers Milwaukee Bucks in a thrilling contest.

Over the course of the two matches he has played so far, the Beard has been averaging 33 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds.

The Nets are slated to field the acclaimed trio on the court for the first time as they gear up to face the Cleveland Cavaliers. Having won their last 5 matches in a row, the Steve Nash led side would be hoping to climb up the table, where they lie at the fifth position at the moment.
