BALOR HAS SPOKEN ABOUT FACING THE UNDERTAKER BEFORE

This is not the first time Balor has spoken of his fascination to face ‘The Deadman’ in the WWE ring. In January 2019, Balor spoke to Inside The Ropes. When the question of a match against The Undertaker was asked, he replied that the kid in him desperately wants to take part in the fantasy matchup, although he made sure to confess that he knew that time was running out for such a dream match.

“Obviously, the kid Finn Balor wants to face the Undertaker. And obviously time is running out with Undertaker, obviously who knows when his last match is gonna be or what his last match will be. But with what’s on the line with The Beast, and how long is he gonna be around, we don’t know. Honestly, I’d take either one,” Balor said, eventually discussing a matchup against ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar, which actually became a real matchup.

HE IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING A SUCCESSFUL SPELL AT NXT

After being defeated by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at Summerslam 2019, Balor remained absent from WWE TV for a couple of months, before returning at his old hunting zone at WWE NXT, confronting NXT Champion Adam Cole following the latter’s title defense against Matt Riddle. On 23 October episode of NXT, Balor turned heel for the first time in his WWE career, when he aided The Undisputed Era by injuring Johnny Gargano and attacking Tommaso Ciampa.

Since then, he has turned face again and on 8 September at NXT: Super Tuesday II, he defeated Adam Cole to win the vacant NXT Championship for the second time in his career.
