Especially important is the release of Fandango, who had been a part of the WWE system for a decade and a half. WWE debuted and pushed Fandango strongly in 2013 as audience members started singing and dancing to his entrance music, which rose substantially on the iTunes charts and generated coverage in mainstream media. However, he soon became a bit-part player in the storylines.

It was in 2020 when he finally won a Championship in the company, with he and Tyler Breeze, teaming under the name Breezango, won the NXT Tag Team Championships.

His partner Tyler Breeze has also been released. He was a part of the company for a period of 11 years, and similar to his partner, enjoyed a push in the main roster before being sent to obscurity. It was his return to NXT, where he was a major player which yet again made him a regular competitor. The highlight of his WWE career remains being the opponent of Jushin Thunder Liger in his only WWE match.

MARINA SHAFIR WAS REPORTEDLY WAITING FOR A CHANGE IN RING NAME

The hope for a Four Horsewomen VS Four Horsewomen match has already vanished at this point and the release of Marina Shafir leaves Shayna Baszler as the only MMA Horsewoman in WWE. Her departure was a surprise of sorts as she had been under the consideration of creatives for quite some time, with new ring names being discussed.

Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari, who had been an integral part of the WWE 205 Live brand since its inception, and teamed often, has also been let go. Both members of the NXT team Ever-Rise were also released, despite them recently getting their own WWE YouTube show.
