F1 Emilia Romagna GP results: Lewis Hamilton’s 93rd win marks seventh constructors’ title for Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes Racer has won the Formula 1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on Sunday, Nov 1. This marked as his 93rd career win for the British racer.

Lewis Hamilton: A step closer to equal Michael Schumacher’s championship record record

This is the first time since 2006 that Formula 1 returned to Imola. Lewis Hamilton is on a roll after he managed to bag another win at Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

He has four races in hand and could equal the record of seven world titles with Michael Schumacher, whom the British racer surpassed at the Portuguese Grand Prix in terms of most career wins.

Lewis Hamilton currently leading with 282 points with a teammate, Valtteri Bottas behind him. The British International has dominated the current Formula 1 season and could be adding another achivement at Turkish Grand Prix and be the drivers’ champion.

Hamilton and Valterri Bottas reached the finish line 1-2 and Mercedes have bagged a record 7th constructors’ title. They have become the first team to win seven consecutive constructors’ titles. The team have surpassed Ferrari’s record of six constructors’ titles that they won between 1999 and 2004.

They are currently positioned in fourth place with Lotus with the seven wins and McLaren with eight, Williams with and Ferarri are the record-holders with sixteen wins.

After the seventh record win of the constructors’ title, Lewis Hamilton felt proud of Mercedes and being a part of it. He said, “What an incredible achievement for all of you. I am so proud of everybody and I am so grateful to be a part of it”

He continued, “People watching maybe think we’re used to this but it always feels like the first with this team and I think that’s because of the spirit.”

“It’s unbelievable… seven-times champs. That’s something I’m going to be able to tell my grandchildren one day.”

The Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix is set to take place on November 15 at Istanbul Park in Tuzla.
