Damon Harrison had joined the Seattle Seahawks practice squad early October, but the veteran nose tackle is yet to make an appearance for Pete Carroll’s squad in the current NFL season. However, the player has taken to social media to reveal the reason: he is not ‘game-ready’ yet.

After being released from Detroit Lions on 21st February earlier this year, the nine-year veteran and former first-team All-Pro Damon “Snacks” Harrison was picked by Seahawks on 7th October.
Nonetheless, “Snacks” is yet to don the Legion of Boom shirt this season and even after three weeks with the practice squad, the player not being picked for Week 8 came as a shocker for the Seahawks fanbase, who took to Twitter to reach out to the player himself for the reason.
“Working! All of these theories of why I’m not playing are funny as hell 😂😂 y’all reaching. Mone and Poona are playing really well what did y’all expect? You think I didn’t know the situation before I arrived? I’m here because I WANT to be not because I HAVE to be. #GoHawks” Snacks replied to a question on Twitter.

Harrison further asserted that he is still not considering himself to be ready for a match. In a second tweet, he wrote: “Yeah. That’ll be the last time I clear anything up lol. I don’t owe anybody a explanation for anything. I’m working every day and that’s all that matters. No, I’m not out of shape. I’m just not ready to play in a game YET. I’ve been doing this 9 years. I know my body. I’m good 😂”

Meanwhile, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll recently stated that Damon Harrison has been given time to make himself ready for his eventual debut.
“He’s making progress,” Carroll said back in late October, “We’re on a schedule, we’re just going to go one week at a time. We’re going to leave him home this week to continue to work.”
