It is regrettable for fans who were hoping for the return of American actress Eva Mendes to her acting career in the upcoming future. In the meantime, the star reveals she has no plans of acting in a blockbuster shortly.
Eva Mendes says she wasn’t being offered any roles except playing a Latina
Earlier, Mendes appeared in hits like Hitch and The Other Guys but she has changed her focus and recently confessed that she does not even miss acting.
Aside from a small role as a stage performer in the directorial debut Lost River by Ryan Gosling, the 48-year-old Eva Mendes glorified the big screen last time was in The Place Beyond the Pines a decade ago. She is fully fine with retirement evidently.
Mendes told Variety, “I don’t really miss it,” elucidating that she quit because she was exhausted of seeking to obtain for quality roles. Soon after The Place Beyond the Pines, she and Gosling had two children. She added, “I thought, ‘Oh, this is what I’m supposed to do right now.”
Habitually, Mendes lived the dream of every parents by producing a voice for an episode of Bluey last year. Far away that, she is not eager to rebound into show business, though further she has not shut the door completely.
Mendes said: “There are more opportunities for Latina actresses now, but when I bowed out 10 years ago I wasn’t being offered things that weren’t specifically Latina. It is exciting that things are different now, so who knows what I will do in the future. But right now, I’m keeping it in the home with my kids.”
Previously, this summer her comments is at the peak, stating that she would return to acting for the right project, but would not do anything which involves violence or sex.
This departs from a celebrated return to the Fast & Furious franchise away the list partially. Even though, with all these reports about whether Mendes would retire or not, it slightly seems that Mendes is planning on coming out of retirement. If not also yet her comments still confirm that hanging out with Ryan Gosling is not a bad deal.
