Eric Hosmer, the San Diego Padres first baseman is now engaged with longtime girlfriend and TV reporter Kacie McDonnell after being in a relationship for five years.

Kacie McDonnell is a sports and lifestyle host at Fox Nation and has been in a relationship with Eric Hosmer since they met each other in Kansas City in 2015 and have finally got engaged a couple of days ago.

Hosmer made the news public with a photo on Twitter with his betrothed, where McDonnell is seen showing off the engagement ring.

McDonnell herself also shared the same on her Instagram, as well as a short clip with the first baseman and her soon-to-be husband.

However, this is not the first engagement of McDonnell. Back in October 2014, she was engaged with her ex-boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray. However, in the month of January next year, the couple broke off their engagement.

After six years with Kansas City Royals, Eric Hosmer switched sides with San Diego Padres in 2018, signing an eight-year contract with the team. A four-time Rawlings Gold Glove Awardee, Hosmer won the 2015 World Series with the Royals and also clinched gold at the 2017 World Baseball Classic, representing the USA.

In the 2020 MLB season, Hosmer hit .287 with nine home runs and 36 RBI in 38 appearances and went 4-for-25 in the playoffs. The Padres were defeated by their National League West rivals and World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2020 National League Division Series.
