Devon Larratt, the global arm wrestling icon, is set to be back in action this Saturday, 26th August, when he takes on Italian superstar puller Ermes Gasparini in the main event of East vs West 9 taking place in Istanbul, Turkey.
East vs West, one of the biggest and most premium arm wrestling competition series in the world is all set to get its ninth edition East vs West 9 returning to Istanbul, Turkey this 26th of August, featuring once more a star-studded fight card starring the best of the best from the eastern and western arm wrestling scenes.
The first East vs West event took place on 12th June 2021, followed by the second edition which was hosted on 12th February 2022, and both events took place in Istanbul. For its third edition, East vs West returned to the Turkish city on 22nd May. The fourth edition was held on 6th August, followed by the fifth on 19th November last year. The sixth installment took place on on 21st January this year, followed by the seventh and eighth on 7th May and July 29th respectively.
The ninth edition of the premium event series will head to The Green Park Pendik Hotel & Convention Center in Istanbul on Saturday, August 26th.
EvW8 saw Gasparini securing a 3-0 win over Jerry Cadorette in the right arm main event. Meanwhile, Artyom Morozov suffered a defeat by similar 0-3 margin against Bulgaria’s Georgi Tsvetkov.
This time, Gasparini is headlining once again, against the legendary Devon Larratt, who is coming off a dominating 6-0 thrashing of Dave Chaffee in the main event of King of the Table 7 on 26th June.
The super matches will follow a BEST OF 5 format.
