Dez Bryant, the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver had tested positive for COVID-19 and was pulled off only minutes before the Tuesday faceoff against Dallas Cowboys.

Ravens WR Dez Bryant came to know about his test results just before the match

Dez Bryant came to know that he contracted the virus, and publicly announced the same and already asked the million-dollar question on Twitter, just before the game against his former side was about to start at the M&T Bank Stadium.

“Since I tested positive for Covid before the game do the game stop or go on? @NFL” Bryant tweeted as the warmup session was about to start

With no response from the league yet, Bryant decided to join his teammates on the pitch as he started preparing for the kickoff with only 30 minutes to go.

However, the league’s reaction came abruptly after the warmup session started and Bryant was taken away from the pitch to get tested.

The entire incident boggled up Bryant, who already announced his test results and yet was not barred from making it to his teammates before the game, and another tweet followed suit.

“Tell me why they pull me from warming up so I can go get tested… my s*** come back positive… I tested positive for Covid WTF,” he added.

The NFL, on the other hand, claimed that Bryant’s two pregame test results were vague and were received only moments before the game was about to start. Although, a quick follow-up test was conducted before Bryant was taken away from the stadium.

Although Ravens lost their WR, the match indeed went in favour of the hosts as they secured a 34-17 win over Cowboys.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who himself tested positive recently, addressed Bryant following the victory.

“We just had to win the game for him because we knew how much it meant to him,” said the QB, “I’m feeling for him because I know how much he wanted to be here.”
