Daniel Bryan has finally been banned from Smackdown Live. He has been an integral part of the show since the restoration of the WWE Brand Split.
ROMAN REIGNS DEFEATED DANIEL BRYAN VIA SUBMISSION
In an excellent match which was widely seen as pay per view quality, Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan without any outside help to retain his WWE Universal Championship. The stipulation demanded the latter to leave SmackDown Live if he lost, and thus “The Leader Of The Yes Movement” will have to leave the brand.
In the match, the duo battled toe-to-toe, with Reigns’ right arm constantly targeted by his opponent. Reigns finally emerged victor by putting a Guillotine Choke with pressure from his left arm, neutralizing his opponent’s weakening of the other arm and fading him out. Bryan, however, did not tap out to the submission move.
After the match, Reigns and Jey Uso tried to attack him with chairs. However, Cesaro attempted to make the save, only to be forced by Jey Uso to watch as Reigns replicated WrestleMania by delivering a con-chair-to on Bryan.
BRYAN HAS BEEN AN INTEGRAL PART OF SMACKDOWN LIVE
With the inception of WWE’s second brand split, Bryan was appointed by SmackDown General Manager by Commisioner Shane McMahon. During the draft, he played an important role, and since then became an integral part of SmackDown Live and Talking Smack. His work as SmackDown Live General Manager was highly praised, until he returned to the ring in midst of a rivalry against the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. As a result of being medically cleared, he resigned as general manager.
Since then, he turned into a ‘villainous’ environmental advocate and won the WWE Championship for the fourth time in his career. He later lost the Championship to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania. He since won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships alongside Erik Rowan and after two months lost it to Heavy Machinery. Even recently, he fought for the WWE Universal Championship at the main event of WrestleMania 37.
Whether he moves to WWE Raw or to WWE NXT will be an event to behold, although fans clearly want him to move to NXT and wrestle stars in a more flashy, physical style as seen in the black and gold brand.
