Donald Cerrone was certainly a formidable opponent in his prime. However, in the later stages of his decorated career his form dipped. The fighter battled fierce and rising opponents when he switched weight classes, facing Leon Edwards and Conor McGregor. However, he endured losses against both the fighters, who went on to become champions in their respective weight classes.

In his last fight, Donald Cerrone faced Jim Miller in a losing effort in the UFC in 2022. Aftre losing via guillotine choke submission, he declared his retirement.

We will now have to wait and see how the challenge pans out.
