Cody Rhodes, the AEW star during a recent interview opened up on his future aspirations after his pro-wrestling career. He expressed his wish to step foot in the political world.

Cody Rhodes wants to run for Senate in Georgia

Cody Rhodes, the current AEW TNT Champion discussed about building a career in the world of politics. He stated he has nearly five years left in his career to dedicate himself to pro wrestling and mentioned that he would love to run for Senate in his hometown, Georgia.

He said, “I’m 35, and I said I only wanted to wrestle for five more years. I have political aspirations. I would love to run for the Senate in the great state of Georgia. I want to help with the sphere of influence I have created.”

The AEW TNT then praised his wife, Brandi Rhodes for her immense hardwork and he believes that hard work does pay off. He said, “I always say if you do the work, it will pay off. That is why I love Brandi. She is so incredibly hardworking, and we have to remind each other to be present often, but when we are it’s very special.”

Several wrestlers have previously stepped into the political world and have become successful. The likes of Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs, the current mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and Matt Morgan, the current mayor of the city of Longwood, Florida are to name a few. Cody Rhodes could also will be following their footsteps and build a career on it.

Cody Rhodes was also announced as a celebrity judge on TBS’ upcoming talent show Go-Big Show, that indicates that he wants to try his luck in the world of acting as well. He said, “I have a ton of desire to do more acting so long as it doesn’t conflict with my job here.”

The former WWE star had previously portrayed the character of Derek Sampson on Arrow and also made an appearance on Syfy show called, Warehouse 13.

On the upcoming event, AEW Full Gear, Rhodes reflected,  “I think this could end up being the PPV that defines us. He discussed how the card is well stacked up and has show stealing matches.

He mentioned that the event wil The Bucks vs. FTR. He then praised Page and Omega. Jon Moxley will face Eddie Kingston in ‘I Quit’ match. John Silver will take on Orange Cassidy.

AEW Full Gear pay-per-view is set to take place on November, 7 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
