Cody Rhodes, the AEW EVP and her wife, Brandi Rhodes are expecting their first child very soon and announced the same in a segment on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite.

The former AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley had recently broken out the news of expecting a baby along with his wife, Renee Paquette. Now, Cody and Brandi Rhodes also made a heartfelt announcement of the pregnancy on the latest edition of Dynamite.
Dynamite saw a pre-recorded segment that featured Cody and Brandi who were decorating their Christmas tree. Then they heard the doorbell ring and found a small gift-wrapped box at their doorstep as they seemed to be baffled.
The couple then unwrapped the gift on their couch. The box had Gucci written on it and a pair of baby shoes. It contained a note as well that read, “We’re expecting a new baby, due in 2021”, that revealed the pregnancy news.
Brandi and Cody kissed as the camera showed their dog named Pharaoh, who wore a scarf having “Baby security (in training)” written on it.

On this week’s edition, Cody squared off against Angelico accompanied by his wife Brandi and manager Arn Anderson. Justin Roberts introduced the American Nightmare in a unique manner addressing him as a future father.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to Twitter and congratulated and thanked them for making the announcement on Dynamite.

He wrote: “Congratulations @TheBrandiRhodes and @CodyRhodes !!! Thank you so much for making the wonderful announcement tonight on #AEWDynamite that you’re expecting a new baby!”

Cody and Brandi tied their knot back in September 2013 during their stint in WWE. Cody was released from the company in May 2016, and Brandi followed her husband departed the company in the next few weeks.
Brandi and Cody hold essential roles in AEW and are undoubtedly one of the most powerful wrestling couples. AEW had teased a storyline involving Brandi Rhodes and Jade Cargill but after the announcement, it is unlikely to take place.
