Cody Bellinger, who sustained a shoulder injury during Game 7 of the NLCS against the Braves will be out for 10 weeks following surgery, the team has confirmed.

Cody Bellinger had injured his right shoulder during a celebration against the Braves in the seventh NLCS game as Dodgers finished the series 4-3 before going on to beat the Rays 4-2 in the World Series.
Celebrating a home run in the seventh inning, the outfielder had performed a forearm smash with his teammate Enrique Hernandez, which dislocated Bellinger’s right shoulder, popping it out of the joint.
A month after the game, Bellinger had undergone a surgery on Tuesday morning and is set to begin his recovery period from next week which is estimated to be 10 weeks long, as the official Twitter handle of Dodgers announced.
“This morning, Cody Bellinger underwent right shoulder surgery in Los Angeles, performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. He will begin his rehab in Arizona next week and is expected to be ready to compete during Spring Training.” the tweet read.

The player himself shared a photo on his Instagram, stating that the operation had gone safe and sound.
“Gangs all here. Shoulder is feeling great the surgery went great. Thank you to everyone who has reached out!! Looking forward to being ready for spring training this upcoming season!” Bellinger captioned the post.
