Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) original and former WWE superstar Tommy Dreamer has mentioned that he would like to see Cesaro as the face of WWE.

Reviewing the latest episode of WWE SmackDown Live for Busted Open Radio, “The Heart And Soul Of Extreme” heaped an enormous amount of praise on the Swiss superstar, who has recently been pushed by WWE. Fans have long been clamouring to see Cesaro in the main event of the company, which now seems to be a reality.
Since Cesaro managed to receive a spot at WrestleMania 37 as a singles performer in a 1 vs 1 match, his stock in WWE is on the rise. Not only to manage to get the spot, but in an important match, he defeated former WrestleMania main-event performer Seth Rollins in the match. Since then he has transitioned to a rivalry against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, whom he will face at WWE Backlash. In his ten years in the company, this is the first time he gets a singles opportunity at a World Championship.

Dreamer mentioned that if he was running WWE, Cesaro would be the face of the company. “If I’m running the WWE, because of all the languages he speaks, I could make him the face of my company. No matter where he is on the card, you are going to get a top rated, top notch wrestling match,” Dreamer stated.
“The Innovator Of Violence” also noted that the performer’s lack of success in WWE was due to Vince McMahon not understanding his character and potential. On one of the shareholder meetings, the majority owner of WWE also mentioned that he does not feel that Cesaro would ever connect to the WWE audience. As a professional wrestler and a fan of the business, it befuddles Dreamer.
“That was like the first ‘are you kidding me?! This guy has it!’ And I feel he will get that Daniel Bryan reaction if they ever decide to fully pull the trigger with him, just because fans love him. You think about why they love him, it’s because of his in ring work. He’s the quarterback that always delivers, he’s the baseball player that always delivers for when you need him in the clutch. But if you need someone to bunt, you bunt,” Dreamer added.
