At approximately 3:00 p.m. CT, Reynoso posted the first images of the year of the boxer heading into his first fight of 2023, which is said to be with John Ryder.

In the video of less than 20 seconds, Canelo can be seen training with the bag, with white tennis shoes, shorts and a black jacket.

The undisputed super middleweight champion shows off his waist and foot movements, as usual when he works with the bag.

“23 HERE WE GO” Eddy wrote along with two clenched fist emojis, in addition to tagging Canelo, who shared the story on his personal account.

After defeating Gennady Golovkin by unanimous decision on September 17, Canelo revealed that he had a problem in his left wrist and that he would have to undergo surgery, so he did not know if he would even fight in May.

It was at the end of October when he underwent surgery, but the following week he was seen in the gym with Oscar Valdez.

Canelo himself said in various interviews that it would be in January when he would return to training to test his left hand when hitting and plan for 2023.

The latest reports speak of possible negotiations to face Ryder on the weekend of May 5 , and Mexico or London are mentioned as possible venues.

But Canelo’s goal is a rematch with Dmitry Bivol, which would be in September and with the possibility of the Russian going down to 168 pounds to challenge the Mexican.

Thus, while the outlook for his first fight of the year clears up, Canelo has already returned to the gym and now all things await on the condition of his left hand, before choosing a rival and venue.
