WWE star Bayley had sustained an injury that will keep her out of the squared circle for at least nine months. It was reported that she suffered the injury while doing chain wrestling during the mandatory ‘return to road’ training session.
Bayley will miss Money In The Bank pay-per-view
It is a major blow that the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion has suffered and the injury will keep her away for at least nine months. That means she is set to miss the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view. She suffered the injury at a time when she was having a great run on the blue brand and had gained some momentum.
Bayley had been built for the huge WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair but unfortunately that will not take place now.
The latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw WWE Authority figure, Sonya Deville announce the former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella as the replacement for the championship bout. But, now the match has been shifted to next week’s edition of SmackDown that will be the first show that will see the comeback of the fans in attendance.
Bayley blames the fans for the causing the injury
A video message from Bayley was shown during the segment. She confirmed that she had injured her left knee and she stated how the whole situation is bad. She was in her heel persona and went on to insult the fans and blamed them for causing the injury. She said:
“I know what you’re thinking and you’re thinking that it sucks. Because you wanted to see the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history regain what’s rightfully hers, to walk into Money in the Bank and beat Bianca Belair once and for all and take back my title.”
She added: “But now I’m hurt and now that I think about it, that’s not what you’re thinking. You don’t care at all! You don’t care that I’m hurt, I did this to get better for Money in the Bank, I did this to be the best, I did this for you! So this? Yeah, this is all your fault! And I don’t give a damn who they put in my place because they are not as good as me.”
We wish Bayley a speedy recovery. The fans will be hoping to see one of the favourite stars back in action soon.
