Renee Young, former WWE commentator recently parted her ways with the company. It was WWE Summerslam where she made her final appearance for WWE. Following, her departure speculations began regarding her next destination, most likely the rival wrestling promotion, All Elite Wrestling(AEW).
Renee Young to AEW?
Renee Young, former NXT commentator could be on her way to join AEW. Her real-life husband, Jon Moxley( better known as Dean Ambrose in WWE) is a part of AEW. This could lead to a reunion between the pair.
But, this is not happening anytime soon. The reason is that, WWE put a non-compete clause on Renee Young following her release from the company. It states that she will not be able to join a competing company for ninety days.
Renee Young spoke with Sports Illustrated recently. She verified that no contact has been made with AEW as of yet.
She explained, “There has been no talks [with AEW]. Literally, the second anybody leaves WWE it’s ‘they’re going to AEW.’ Obviously, I knew it was going to come up. What I found interesting is, as much as I assumed that’s what everyone was going to say, more people were like, ‘She’s going to work for FOX or ESPN.’ A lot of people saw me leaving the wrestling world, which I was surprised by…”
Renee Young discussed about the non-compete clause as reported previously and anyone who approaches her has to wait for some time.
She added, “I do have a non-compete that is for quite a while. If anyone is waiting for me to show up in 90 days, they’re going to be waiting a little longer than that. I think everything that they’re doing there is great. I think that there could be a ton of spots that I could step in and work and do some stuff there.”
Fans are eagerly waiting to see where the 34 year old lands. They are waiting her to join any wrestling company. But, that might not be the case. She has many offers on the table which are outside the world of pro wrestling. It is to be seen what is the next destination of Renee Young.
Earlier, she opened up about releasing a cookbook written by her. She is working hard on this project of hers.
