Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen has been in the limelight as of late with his criticism of Kevin Durant following the Nets’ loss to Bucks in Game 7 of the conference semi-finals. The Hall Of Famer came up with a controversial statement soon after by claiming that LeBron James never had any help on the court while winning his four rings.

Smith noted that LeBron had Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in his first set of triumphs and the roles of Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis in the recent set of glory.

Pippen had earlier noted how LeBron is better at elevating his teammates than Kevin Durant, this set things up as Durant resorted to bring up Pippen’s infamous decision to sit out on a last second play during the Bulls’ 93-94′ campaign.

The ESPN panel comprising of Smith and Max Kellerman were debating whether the Nets ace should have responded in that fashion.

Pippen and Smith continued to trade opinions

LeBron James’ move to Miami Heat came with controversy, but it also brought glory. Forming a formidable trio alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, the Heat made it to four successive finals, winning two in a row in 2012 and 2013.

He returned back to his home side Cleveland Cavaliers, where he proceeded to make another four-consecutive run in the finals, winning a sole in 2016. The iconic comeback from 3-1 was marked by Kyrie Irving’s role as well, who eventually hit the championship winning shot.

His recent stint with Lakers did not begin well as he missed out on Playoffs action. However, the duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James were too hot to handle in the bubble as they cruised to a championship.

In the recently concluded Eastern Conference semi-finals, Kevin Durant was arguably stranded in the fag end of the series with Kyrie Irving missing out due to injury and James Harden being far from his best self due to injury as well.

The former Warriors star hit the highest points in a Game 7 with 48 points to his name as they crashed out in overtime. He also played mind-boggling minutes and almost took the franchise home single-handedly.
