Ryan Newman, the former Daytona 500 champion and 18-time NASCAR Cup Series winner, recently secured a significant victory in the SMART Modified Tour. This achievement adds another accolade to his illustrious career. After the race, he opened up about the new achievement.

Newman emerged as the winner, claiming his first SMART Tour victory. Ryan Newman appreciated the sponsors and he expressed he had a fun race and he praised the management and the track as well.
Then the interviews inquire about the pass involving #99 Jimmy Blewett while he was leading the race. Newman revealed there was enough room given by the leader on the outside and Ryan explained how he passed the reader and maintained the lead towards the end.

The freshly repaved track meant minimal tire wear, and Newman capitalized on this advantage. He made a decisive move, driving to the outside of leader Jimmy Blewett with 28 laps remaining and held on to take the checkered flag.
Blewett, who drove the number-99 Modified for Jamie Tomaino, acknowledged Newman’s performance: “Man, we were close. This car is fast. Ryan just found the top before I did, honestly. He was the better man here today, he won, and I’ll take a second place here.”
