While the Twitterati were not really buying Carter’s claim of his account being highjacked, several people reported that similar ‘check dm’ spams were noticed in other posts as well. Some users shared screenshots of the same in the tweets of Lakers shooting guard Danny Green, as well as New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley.

“Look man , no disrespect to anyone but come on now … it’s a little excessive what was going on on my Twitter. I’m not begging no man nor woman to check they dm 🤦🏾‍♂️ . How about y’all pay attention to this election 🤝” wrote the 21-year-old.
