The war between Russia and Ukraine has made undesirable impacts all across the world, and world sports is no exception. However, the current status of Maxim Ryndovskiy, a mixed martial artist from Ukraine whom many may not have heard of, is extremely saddening, as the fighter has been suffering inhumane torture at the hands of unidentified Ukrainian soldiers. The reason being, Ryndovskiy had trained with Russian MMA fighters.
Hailing from Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, Maxim Ryndovskiy is a 5’11” middleweight who made his debut as a professional back in April 2017 at UPLH – Fighting Together 2, defeating Artem Klochko via 1st round TKO. The 28-year-old had trained at the Fight Club Akhmat, which is located in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, Russia.
Having made Chechens his sparring partners had made Ryndovskiy the target of unidentified Ukrainian soldiers, who have captured the fighter in the Ukrainian capital and are subjecting him to torture. Twitter handle ASB News / MILITARY had shared a couple of clips which you can check out below-
“Ukrainian Nazi’s torture Ukrainian MMA fighter Maxim Ryndovskiy who trained with the Chechen MMA club Ahmat. He was captured in Kiev and is being tortured for training with Russians,” the clips were captioned.
