Tyson Fury’s comeback to the ring is now made official, as the WBC heavyweight champion of the world will face Derek Chisora for the third time on December 3rd at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London, England, as per the official announcement made today.

Fury, 34, has therefore not officially retired and remains the WBC world heavyweight champion and will defend the green and gold title won by TKO against Deontay Wilder in their second fight back in 2020.

In making his third title defense following the Wilder trilogy and Dillian Whyte, the “Gypsy King” will face his compatriot Chisora, marking another trilogy sagay. The first two fights held in 2011 and 2014 were both won by Fury, by decision, and then by towel throw from Chisora’s corner.

“LET’S HAVE IT THEN DEL BOY!!!! SEE YOU DECEMBER 3RD LONDON!” Tyson Fury tweeted.

“Tyson clearly conquered America across his trilogy with Deontay Wilder and there is also huge demand to stage his fights from sites across the world,” Fury’s promoter Frank Warren stated, “Tyson wanted to fight in his home country again this year following his special night at Wembley Stadium in April. This brings us to the magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a match against an old rival in Derek Chisora.” [H/T DAZN]

Fury vs. Chisora will also feature another title fight on the undercard, as WBA “Regular” world champion Daniel Dubois will be putting up his title on the line against South African boxer Kevin Lerena.

The 25-year-old won the WBA title in June by winning by KO in the 4th round against Trevor Bryan. Lerena, on the other hand, is still undefeated in his pro career with a record of 28 wins including 14 knockouts.

A former IBO world cruiserweight champion, Lerena defeated Sefer Seferi and Firat Arslan during his title reign, before moving up to the heavyweight division where he has racked up three wins so far.
