Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Harold Landry has landed a massive contract extension with the franchise, as the two parties have reportedly nodded to a five year extension worth $87.5 million, with $52.5 million guaranteed. The extension comes four years after Landry joined the NFL side and coming off of his best season with the Titans so far, landed a lucrative deal.
Harold Landry will earn $20.5 million on his first season under the new contract
The news of Harold Landry’s contract extension with the Titans was first reported by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network in the late hours of Tuesday. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network added that under his new contract, Landry will pocket $20.5 million on his first season, a whopping $2 million more than the $18.702 million he would have received if the Titans had applied the franchise tag before Tuesday, giving the team a better salary cap to start.

A 2nd round pick of the 2018 NFL draft out of Boston, Landry enjoyed a stellar 2021 season. In starting all 17 of his appearances for the franchise last season, the 25-year-old OLB registered two career highs- 75 tackles and 12 sacs, as well as earning his first Pro Bowl selection.
