Following the victory, coach Steve Kerr confirmed that it is highly unlikely for the ace guard to feature in the second leg of their back-to-back clashes against the Grizzlies.

“He’s very doubtful, It would be irresponsible of us to play him at this point. He’s still in pain.” Kerr told reporters through video conference.

The Warriors are hoping that Curry recovers in time for their fixture following the Grizzlies clash. They will be hosting Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Drew Yoder told me we got to make sure he’s stable and strong in that area, muscles around the injury, It’s not even a question of temptation to put him out there. It’s just we’re going to do what’s right medically. When he’s ready, he’s ready.” Kerr revealed the trainer’s input on the injury diagnosis

The two-time MVP winner endured an awkward fall on the sidelines after attempting a three-pointer. Following the attempt, the momentum forced Curry off the court. Unfortunately for the player, there was nothing present to bring his momentum to a halt and as a result, landed hard on the metal stairs.

Curry looked in discomfort straightaway and subsequently had to leave the court in the third quarter itself with the team leading 86-71.

Warriors did a neat job in the absence of their star player and would be hoping for the same when they play the Grizzlies again on Saturday.

The franchise are now in a shaky position when it comes to their playoff aspirations. Currently lying 9th in the Western Conference table, Warriors have a 22-20 record and have built a little two-game winning streak.
