Fresh off of his 7th round TKO win over Luke Campbell, WBC interim lightweight champion of the world Ryan García is already picking his next fighters, with either Devin Haney or Gervonta Davis likely set to be his next adversary. However, García dreams beyond- to step inside the squared circle with none other than Manny Pacquiao.

While facing the WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney (25–0, 15 KOs) is mandatory for Ryan García (21–0, 18 KOs), the pugilist has expressed his desire to take on WBA (Regular) lightweight titleholder Gervonta Davis (24–0, 23 KOs).

In the presence of Mike Tyson, García even promised to trounce Davis under two rounds and both fighters have also nodded for a future bout.

All that being said, WBA (Super) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is the dream fight for García.

“That’s the dream,” said García, “Manny is a legend and it would be like surpassing him in the humblest way. I don’t want this to sound like I’m being disrespectful, Manny knows my respect for him.”

“People love him because he fights with his heart. You don’t even have to tell people to respect him, because more than one entire country supports him,” the 22-year-old added.

Last seen in action against Keith Thurman on 20th July 2019 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada where he clinched the WBA welterweight belt via split decision, Pacquiao is speculated to face UFC icon Conor Mcgregor following UFC 257, a clash that both fighters have been desiring.

Back in December, Pacquiao confirmed that he is ready to have two fights this year. If one slot is booked for McGregor, the other opponent could very well be Ryan García, if PacMan himself thumbs up to the American’s dream.
