WWE Hall Of Famer Road Dogg hospitalized following heart attack

WWE Hall Of Famer Road Dogg has been hospitalized due to a case of heart attack and has been rehabilitating.

“I want to thank everyone for the prayers and texts. Brian most likely suffered a heart attack late Thursday night after returning from Orlando. He has had test run and we’re currently waiting for the results. He has also seen a kidney specialist and will have a stress test done,” his wife Tracy Conant Jones wrote on Facebook.

Later, she provided an update to the fans and well-wishers. The test showed that his kidneys were clear enough and a heart cath had been scheduled for Monday. After it is done, the next decision concerning his health would be taken.

Pro wrestling personalities took to Twitter to wish a quick recovery to the WWE legend.

His brother, WWE referee Scott Armstrong shared an update:

He is a second generation professional wrestler. His father “Bullet” Bob Armstrong enjoyed a five decades long professional wrestling career in which he won numerous Championships. His brothers Scott, Brad, and Steve are also professional wrestlers.

He is best known for his initial tenure with World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as Jeff Jarrett’s lackie The Roadie from 1994 to 1995 and as “Road Dogg” Jesse James from 1996 to 2001. He is also known for his appearances with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as B.G. James from 2002 to 2009, and has also made appearances for several other promotions such as Smoky Mountain Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, the United States Wrestling Association, the Catch Wrestling Association, and World Wrestling All-Stars (WWA).

He has held numerous championships in a career spanning more than three decades. In the WWE, he achieved mainstream notoriety as half of The New Age Outlaws (who became part of D-Generation X): he and partner Billy Gunn won the WWF World Tag Team Championship five times, and later held the WWE Tag Team Championship once. Additionally, James found success in singles competition, becoming a one-time Intercontinental Champion and a one-time Hardcore Champion.

Road Dogg is currently signed to WWE as a producer and teaches WWE Performance Centre classes on in-ring promos and character development.
