WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in the last month saw WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns colliding with his cousin, Jey Uso in a first-ever ‘I Quit’ Hell in a Cell match which was a brutal bout between the two stars. But, as per the reports, the contest was supposed to be a different one that WWE had planned originally.
WWE had plans for a fatal four-way match at Hell in a Cell
The Hell in a Cell pay-per-view saw Roman Reigns dominating the whole match against Jey Uso. Jey’s brother Jimmy eventually had to intervene but was the victim of The Tribal Chief’s vicious assault. Thereby, Reigns successfully retained the Universal Championship.
But, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that WWE had outlined a fatal four-way bout for the main event. It would have featured Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, and a fourth person.
‘The Monster Among Men’ was not featured at the pay-per-view. He has qualified to become a member of Team Raw for the Men’s Survivor Series traditional 5-on-5 tag-team match.
WWE had also previously involved Alexa Bliss and Reigns in a segment on an edition of Friday Night SmackDown. But it never saw a follow-up of the segment. It was reportedly a tease of the feud between Roman Reigns and The Fiend.
WWE is considering to book Alexa Bliss and The Fiend as babyfaces now. However, the way the gimmicks behaves it is quite doubtful if they are actual babyfaces. On this matter, Dave Meltzer said, “it becomes quite confusing.” Both the stars were drafted to Monday Night Raw during 2020 WWE Draft.
The Fiend is currently targetting the WWE Champion, Randy Orton and eyeing to snatch the championship gold off The Viper. Orton recently won the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell.
WWE Champion Randy Orton is scheduled to square off against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Survivor Series event.
Survivor Series is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 22 in WWE Thunderdome at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
