Manchester United have only acquired the signing of former Ajax player, Donny van de Beek in this transfer window. Jadon Sancho, the Dortmund star has been the top target for but could not manage to close the deal.

The Frenchman explained how the club sends lawyer to negotiate with the players and thus the valuation of the player increases.

He said, “People have to understand we send lawyers to talk with the player. They talk about numbers, not people from the football world.”

He added, “When you want a player who cost 20 million, he ends up costing 100 million… but even those players, they don’t even want our money anymore.”

The 39-year-old spoke about former gaffer, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Chief Executive, David Gill’s tenure at the club. He claimed the historical signings of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Robin Van Persie, Patrice Evra were all rapid signings.

Patrice Evra said that Ed Woodward has a problem of trusting the wrong people, that he should not.

The Frenchman said, “The only problem I would say to Ed is trusting people he should never trust. He even trusts people outside the club that he shouldn’t. That’s what I can say about Ed.”
