Alabama Crimson Tide has transformed into a dominating team in the NCAA under Nick Saban, who has just won his sixth National Championship with the team in his tenure of thirteen years.
Nick Saban wins 7th, Alabama win 18th National Championship
The championship clash between Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide saw a dominating 52-24 victory for the latter, who have clinched their record 18th championship trophy.
The win also marks Nick Saban’s seventh championship title in his coaching career, highest of any coach from the modern era and sixth with Alabama, since he took charge of the team back in 2007.
Crimson Tide enjoyed a stellar 2020 season. They won all 10 of their Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season games, followed by defeating Florida and Notre Dame in the SEC Championship game and the Rose Bowl CFP semifinal game respectively.
Entering the national championship with an unbeaten 12-0 record. They are also is the first team in the College Football Playoff era to be ranked No. 1 from the first rankings to win become the National champions.
Saban gets teary eyes as Alabama are crowned champions once again
The Crimson Tide head coach was seen shedding tears as the celebrations for the 18 time champions went underway.
