Fans have been vocal about the controversial development during the clash between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions on Saturday night. A video clip on social media saw Taylor Decker reporting to an NFL official he was an eligible receiver for a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter.

Decker, who is an offensive tackle, got the pass from Jared Goff that would have put the Lions up 22-21 with 23 seconds to go in the game. It was noted that the officials flagged Decker for illegal touching. The Lions had a couple more attempts to convert a two-point play but failed, and the Cowboys clinched 21-20 win.
The Lions had an extra offensive lineman, Dan Skipper, come in the game before the play, and three Lions linemen, including Taylor Decker, moved toward referee Brad Allen and seemed to say something as shown in ESPN’s replays.
Taylor Decker was not announced as an eligible receiver and thus he wasn’t allowed to catch the go-ahead 2-point play. The score was taken off the board as Lions head coach Dan Campbell was enraged at the officials. That would have put the Lions ahead 21-20 with just a few seconds left. This led to a controversy surrounding the NFL officiating mistakes.
