NBA Week 6 Jan 28 results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The fourth matchday of Week 6 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and its time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Rockets 104 – 101 Trail Blazers

Falling behind in Q1 and then taking a massive lead in the next quarter, Houston Rockets clinched their fourth straight win over Portland Trail Blazers at the Toyota Center.

Victor Oladipo contributed 25 points for the hosts, along with 12 rebounds for 22 points from Christian Wood.

Heat 105 – 109 Clippers

A struggling Miami Heat now go their fifth match without a win as Los Angeles Clippers edged them out at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Despite an early lead, Heat fell behind in Q2 and Clippers went ahead with a whopping 21 point lead in Q3 alone to seal the deal.

Serge Ibaka clocked 10 points with 13 rebounds and 3 assists, in addition to 18 points from Nicolas Batum.

Pistons 107 – 92 Lakers

Detroit Pistons surprise Los Angeles Lakers with a win as the visitors at Little Caesars Arena as the visitors go their second away match without a victory.

With a 16-0 lead in the final quarter, Pistons pulled away on the shoulder of Blake Griffin and his season-best 23 points as well as Mason Plumlee who secured 10 rebounds for 17 points. Wayne Ellington secured 20 points with six 3-pointers.

The Lakers, who were playing without Anthony Davis, saw LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma top the score for the team with 22 points each.

Suns 114 – 93 Warriors

Phoenix Suns had their breakthrough in the second half as they picked up their 9th win this NBA season against Golden State Warriors at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Stephen Curry’s 27 points for the visitors went in vain as Mikal Bridges clocked 20 points with 5 assists for the Suns, in addition to 13 rebounds and 4 assists from Deandre Ayton. Chris Paul scored 13.
