NBA Week 18 April 23 Results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The fifth matchday of Week 18 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Hawks 118 – 103 Heat

After a neck to neck fight in the first three quarters of the game, Atlanta Hawks were able to pull away in the fourth and final one to trounce Miami Heat at the State Farm Arena.

Bogdan Bogdanović scored 21 points with 8 assists, followed by John Collins posting 20 points and 8 rebounds.

Nets 109 – 104 Celtics

Jayson Tatum’s 38 point double double was not enough to pull Boston Celtics ahead as Brooklyn Nets finished with their 40th win of this NBA season at the Barclays Center.

Joe Harris and Jeff Green landed 20 and 19 points respectively, while Kyrie Irving followed up with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists.

Hornets 108 – 102 Cavaliers

Three 25-point performances from Charlotte Hornets squad powered the hosts against Cleveland Cavaliers at the Spectrum Center.

Terry Rozier, PJ Washington and Miles Bridges all landed 25 points each, with Bridges adding in 10 rebounds as well.

Rockets 104 – 109 Clippers

Paul George’s stunning double-double led Los Angeles Clippers against the struggling Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.

George scored 33 points with 14 rebounds, along with 19 points from Reggie Jackson. John Wall scored 27 points and 13 assists for the hosts.

Thunder 109 – 129 Wizards

Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook’s usual 30 point-triple double combo helped Washinton Wizards sweep up a win over Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Beal’s score of 33 was added with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Raul Neto scored 15.

Warriors 118 – 97 Nuggets

Steph Curry led Golden State Warriors with a 32-point performance as they thrashed Denver Nuggets at the Chase Center.

Alongside Curry, Kelly Oubre Jr scored 23 points, while Draymond Green posted 12 rebounds and 19 assists.

Trail Blazers 128 – 130 Grizzlies

In a level pegging contest, Memphis Grizzlies narrowly edged out Portland Train Blazers at the Moda Center.

Ja Morant led the visitors with 33 points and 13 assists, along with Dillon Brooks scoring 25 points. Jaren Jackson Jr finished with 23.
