NBA Week 18 April 20 Results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The second matchday of Week 18 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Knicks 109-97 Hornets

In a monumental Eastern Conference game, Knicks used their rich vein of form to grind through and record their seventh win in a row.

Charlotte Hornets led by 6 during the half-time break at the Madison Square Garden, but only managed to score 31 points altogether in the second half.

RJ Barrett led the scoring for the Knicks with 24 points. Julius Randle and Nerlens Noel contributed a combined 21 rebounds for the hosts.

Hawks 112-96 Magic

Clint Capela recorded 19 rebounds for Atlanta Hawks at the State Farm Arena. Trae Young top scored in the win by posting 25 points.

No player from Orlando magic crossed the 20-point barrier as they slumped to their 9th defeat in the last 10 matches.

Pelicans 129-133 Nets

The two offensive teams met to dish out a high scoring encounter which ended marginally in the favour of Brooklyn Nets.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram scored a combined 60 points, but their collectve display was over shadowed by Kyrie Irving and co. Irving top scored for the visitors at the Smoothie King Center with 32 points to keep up with the 76ers.

TrailBlazers 112-113 Clippers

With prominent players like Damian Lillard and Kawhi Leonard missing on the court, Portland TrailBlazers and Los Angeles Clippers turned up with a thrilling contest at the Moda Center.

Paul George tapped into his rich vein of form to thump 33 points and 11 assists for the narrow win. CJ McCollum top scored for the hosts after posting 28 points.

Kings 120-134 Timberwolves

No.1 draft pick Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell scored 28 points each to hand Minnesota Timberwolves their 16th win of the season. Karl Anthony-Towns was not far behind with his 26-point outing.

A high scoring first quarter had seen the scoreboard be 43-39 in the favour of the hosts at the Golden 1 Center. This also marked the Kings’ 9th defeat off their last 10 games.

This win also got the Timberwolves out of the bottom spot in the NBA Western Conference table.
