NBA Week 13 Mar 18 results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The fourth matchday of Week 13 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Wizards 131 – 122 Jazz

The Bradley Beal-Russell Westbrook combo thrusts Washington Wizards to hand a major upset to the Western Conference leaders Utah Jazz at the Capital One Arena.

Beal posted 43 points on 16-of-24 shooting numbers, while Westbrook, who landed his 13th triple-double of this NBA season, scored 35 along with 15 rebounds and 13 assists. Donovan Mitchell topped the visitors with 42 points.

Knicks 94 – 93 Magic

A neck to neck battle against Orlando Magic finally went in favour of New York Knicks who clinched a narrow victory at the Madison Square Garden.

Julius Randle picked up a triple-double for the hosts, his third of this NBA season, having scored 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 17 assists. Alec Burks followed up with 10 rebounds for 21 points, while Reggie Bullock scored 20.

Hawks 116 – 93 Thunder

Atlanta Hawks held onto their early first half lead as they comfortably trounced Oklahoma City Thunder at the State Farm Arena.

Both Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanović scored 23 points to top the hosts’ scoring, along with John Collins posting 19 points.

Trail Blazers 101 – 93 Pelicans

Portland Trail Blazers repeated the results in their second straight face off against the New Orleans Pelicans with a win at the Moda Center.

Coming off of a brilliant 50-point performance, Damian Lillard topped the scoreboard once again, finishing with 36. Enes Kanter clocked 16 points and 13 rebounds, plus 10 points and 10 rebounds coming from Robert Covington.

Suns 119 – 123 Timberwolves

Double 40-point performances from Minnesota Timberwolves delivered the shocking defeat to Phoenix Suns at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, pulling away in the final quarter.

Anthony Edwards led the visitors with 42 points, one more than Karl-Anthony Towns who also posted 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Devin Booker scored 35 for the Suns.

Lakers 116 – 105 Hornets

Los Angeles Lakers went into the second half with a lead and while Charlotte Hornets made an attempt to catch up with a third quarter rally, the hosts pulled away once again in Q4 to secure a victory at the Staples Center.

LeBron James finished with 37 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, with Dennis Schröder scoring 22. Montrezl Harrell posted 11 rebounds.
