Mari Osaka, the older sister of tennis superstar Naomi Osaka, has dropped multiple serious charges against their father, Leonard François, accusing him of long term pysical abuse and emotional harassment.
Mari claims her father abused her in her childhood and continues to do to the same with her mother
Mari Osaka, who is a fashion designer and a former WTA player herself with a singles record of 196–162, charged her father for multiple reasons in a now-deleted post she made on Instagram.
In the post, she claimed that she was being abused by Leonard when she was young and added that he’s continuing to do the same with her mother, adding that she is “disappointed” and “disgusted” in him.
“I want you to know how disappointed and disgusted I am in you, as a father and human being in general. You have failed in every way imaginable. You have abused me since I was young and continue to harass my mother,” Mari wrote in the post.
The 27-year-old, who is a four time ITF finalist and has collaborated with Naomi on several fashion design and art projects, also added that Leonard is trespassing into their property, warning him to call the cops on him.
“You continue to emotionally abuse her and trespass into our home when you have your own,” she went on, “I’m making this public knowledge because you are a coward who hides behind his physical ability to beat me down and our refusal to call to cops on you. This is it, I’m really done with you and the next time I see your face I am calling the police. Consider this a threat.”
In the end, Mari even stated that to defend her sister and mother, she won’t be hesitant to kill him; if he doesn’t kill her first.
“The way you have hurt me and our family honestly I wont regret it if they kill you so yea come back to the house and threaten to beat me up again. I will fight back and I will fight for both of us. I will kill you unless you kill me first by bringing a gun like the coward you are. So go ahead let’s see what type of man you really are even though I’ve already known since birth I’m the daughter to the devil. God help me when he comes again,” Mari added.
