Former Los Angeles Lakers teammates Matt Barnes and Derek Fisher were once the subject of one of the ugliest rifts. However, the duo have seemed to put their differences aside for the better after Barnes posted a photo on Instagram with Fisher and his family.

Derek Fisher is currently engaged to Gloria Govan and the relationship did not go well by the small forward who once drove 90 miles to confront his former teammate. The altercation ended in violence, but Fisher did not opt to press any charges against Barnes. He had recalled the incident in an interview back in 2019.

“It wasn’t really as much of an a– beating as I wanted it to be because there was so many people at the house,” Barnes said. “There was like 15 people there. Every time I got on him people were grabbing me, so I only got a couple of good shots in. He was lucky that was the case. It could have gotten ugly.” Barnes said

All well between Barnes and Fisher for a while now

The beef has seemed to cool down now with Barnes stating numerous times that he has buried the hatchet with Fisher. This picture seems to affirm the fact, much to the pleasure of the family.

“We had a little altercation but, to be honest, he and I are cool now, We squashed it. I told him where I was coming from. He explained his side a little bit and we were fine.”

The player made it clear that he did not have an issue with Fisher and Devan being in a relationship. However, the fact that his children were spending time with Fisher without him being informed irked him.
