With just two laps remaining, the tension escalated as Wallace made contact with Larson, resulting in a dramatic spin-out for the No. 5 car. The impact was deep on Joe Gibbs Racing driver Martin Truex JR as his teammate Denny Hamlin used the final late restart to take up the lead and win the race.
In a moment of disappointment, Martin Truex Jr. made contact with Kyle Larson on the last lap of the race. Fortunately, both drivers managed to navigate their cars to the checkered flag and finish within the top 5. However, after the race, Kyle Larson revealed that Truex may have acted out of frustration.

Recently, Bob Pockrass posted a video featuring Martin Truex Jr., in which Truex stated that Larson was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and chuckled. Truex also revealed how his old crew member left his team to join Denny Hamlin’s team, which had the fastest pit stop at Richmond.
Final lap draa between Martin Truex Jr. and Larson
Martin Truex Jr. had a dominant performance, leading 228 out of 407 laps during the race. Victory seemed within reach until a caution flag waved with just two laps to go.
On the last lap, Truex lost second place to Joey Logano in Turn 1. Larson, ever the provocateur, challenged Truex’s inside down the backstretch. Truex retaliated by turning left into Larson, resulting in additional contact off Turn 4.
Larson, unapologetic, admitted he didn’t mind squeezing Martin Truex Jr. against the wall. After the checkered flag, Truex then shifted his focus to Hamlin, bumping into his back bumper during the cool-down lap.
