Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson is eyeing to set an all-time NFL record for passing and rushing yards in a single season after he guided his side to become the first AFC team to book a playoff spotted with a 23-7 win over the Jaguars.
Lamar Jackson has been impressive in his performance
The 26-years-old quarterback is currently a contender for this year’s MVP award and on Sunday in Jacksonville, he has completed 14 of 24 his attempts (58.3 percent) for 171 passing yards and 97 rushing, a touchdown and an interception.
It was an exceptional first half and Lamar Jackson was better throwing deep passes than short ones. Passes had been of at least 10 yards and he was 5-of-6 with a touchdown. On throws under 10 yards, he’s 6-of-10 with an interception.
Jackson led Baltimore in the first half and bought some time with his brilliance in the passing game. He produced many chances in the run game. Lamar Jackson has passed for 134 yards and ran for 30 yards, recording 164 yards of total offense.
Ravens have three games remaining against the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and Pittsburgh Steelers and Lamar Jackson has completed 3,770 passing yards and 900 rushing on the season. This is a massive milestone that the fans haven’t witnessed in NFL history.
It’s worth noting that against the Jaguars, he made the play of the night and evaded a sack before throwing from Jacksonville’s own 45-yard line to Isaiah Likely near the goal line.
With 171 passing yards and 97 rushing yards tonight, Lamar Jackson is now on pace for 3,770 passing yards and 900 rushing yards on the season.
A 3,700 passing/900 rushing season has never been done before in NFL history.

What went down during the match
The Ravens (11-3) are now on a four-game win streak, and moved step closer to securing the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
Trevor Lawrence made blunders a couple of times including one in the fourth quarter that essentially sealed Baltimore’s eighth victory in its last nine games. Meanwhile, during the match rookie running back Keaton Mitchell injured his left knee early in the fourth quarter and was quickly ruled out. Replays showed his knee bent awkwardly during a run.
The Ravens saw a major injury blow when starting left tackle Ronnie Staley suffered a concussion and free safety Marcus Williams suffered a groin injury.
Baltimore Ravens are set to play at San Francisco on Christmas and it’s yet another marquee matchup between division leaders on the opposite coast. Meanwhile, while Jacksonville Jaguars will lock horns on Tampa Bay on December 24 which is also a game featuring division leaders.
