Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods lost their Raw Tag Team Championships at WWE TLC, but it seems that the former lost more than a championship, but a tooth.

KOFI KINGSTON TOOK TO TWITTER TO SHARE AN IMAGE

The former Champion took to Twitter to share that in the hard hitting match between him and Woods and Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander of The Hurt Business, he lost part of one of his teeth.

Fans were, of course, ready to remind him of two of the most famous dentists in the business:

THE MATCH WAS WELL RECEIVED BY FANS

The match, well accepted and enjoyed by the pro wrestling community, also showed signs of dissension amongst the victors. In the closing moments of the match, as Benjamin was preparing his next move on Kingston, Alexander blind tagged himself in to Benjamin’s surprise. Alexander then performed the Lumbar Check on Kingston to win the title.

Despite Alexander’s questionable actions, Benjamin was still pleased with the result. After the match, United States Champion Bobby Lashley came out and celebrated with his Hurt Business stablemates, with the stable now holding two-thirds of the men’s titles on Raw.

KOFI HAS BEEN A HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL WWE SUPERSTAR

While never being considered the face of the promotion, Kofi Kingston has had a lot of success in WWE. “The New Day’s Kofi Kingston is powered by positivity, and he’s used it to catapult himself to new heights, including the WWE Championship,” states WWE’s official website.

“Since bursting on the WWE scene in 2007, Kingston has established himself as one of WWE’s premier high-flyers. That, paired with his upbeat attitude, made him a perennial favorite of the WWE Universe as he racked up Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Championships. Kingston also cemented his place in WWE history with a series of daredevil moments where he saved himself from elimination in several Royal Rumble Matches,” it adds.

All totaled, Kingston is a 13-times Tag Team Champion in WWE, and a 21-times champion in total. He is the 30th Triple Crown Champion and 20th overall Grand Slam Champion in the company, the first African-born world champion in WWE history, and holds the singular record for most days spent as a Tag Team Champion within WWE.
