While this has been a significant episode in Kevin Love’s life, his 2020-21 NBA season has been rather stale. After sustaining a calf injury during the preseason, the Cavaliers forward had missed the season opener and made an appearance in the second game against Pistons, scoring 15 points with 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

Unfortunately, his return to court was short lived as the injury worsened in the third game against 76ers and Love had to be sidelined after just 9 minutes of play. He was originally expected to miss three to four weeks of game time due to recovery but Cavaliers are yet to have their star forward back in the court.

A 2008 first-round draft pick up for Memphis Grizzlies, Love arrived at Cleveland in 2014 and clinched the Larry O’Brien trophy in 2016. He has also been in the NBA All-Star five times and was a part of the United States Men’s basketball team that clinched gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as well as the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
