Hollywood actress Kate Winslet was rushed to a hospital as she suffered an accident on the sets of her upcoming film “Lee” in Croatia. A representative of the superstar updated her health condition and also said this week she have plans to recommence filming.
Kate Winslet was hospitalized in Croatia after she slipped and fell as a result hurt herself in the sets while filming the historical drama Lee. Subsequently, the shooting of the film was paused very shortly. A representative for the 46-year-old actress said she was ‘doing well’ and is expected to resume shooting sometime this week.
As per the reports provided to Deadline, “Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week.”
Since 2015, Kate Winslet has been allotted to star in the film Lee. This is a feature in which she portrays World War II correspondent Lee Miller. Ellen Kuras directed the historical drama about the Vogue cover model-turned-photographer.is The movie also stars Mario Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Conner.
The well known Miller recorded the war on the confederated front lines and revealed all the atrocities Hitler’s Nazi Germany committed against the Jewish community.
In 2021, the Oscar-winning actress told Deadline about the project, “This is absolutely not a biopic. To make a story about Lee’s whole life, that’s a series worth for HBO. What we wanted to do was find the most interesting decade in her life, the one that defined who she was and what she became because of what she went through.”
“It was the period from 1938-1948 that took her right through the war and her most defining time. That is the story we want people to know about Lee more than the many other parts of her life,” Winslet added.
