Karrion Kross has won the NXT Championship from Finn Bálor in the second night of NXT Takeover: Stand And Deliver.
KROSS BECAME A TWO TIMES NXT CHAMPION
Kross debuted on NXT in April, 2020, accompanied by his real life partner Scarlett Bordeaux. Immediately starting a feud with NXT mainstay Tommasso Ciampa, he defeated him at his very first Takeover appearance at NXT Takeover: In Your House.
At NXT TakeOver: XXX, he defeated Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship for the first time. However, the following day on August 23, 2020, WWE announced that he had suffered a separated shoulder during the match, and on the August 26 episode of NXT, he vacated the title; this ended his reign at only 4 days, making it the shortest in the title’s history.
He reappeared in December, 2020, attacking Damien Priest. In the following weeks, he confronted performers like NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, Royal Rumble winner Edge and Kross confronted the NXT Champion Finn Bálor after he successfully defended his title against Adam Cole on the March 10 episode of NXT.
Bálor was subsequently scheduled to defend the NXT Championship against him at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, which was scheduled as the main event of Night 2. In what Kross’ best NXT match till date, he defeated Bálor with a running forearm for the victory, becoming a two times NXT Champion in the process.
