He has turned into a part-timer in WWE and he is more into acting in movies. However, he never forgets the journey in WWE and during the interview compared his work in WWE with his work in popular ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. Cena has starred in the latest installment of the series, F9, which released on Friday, June 25.

He said that it was an honor to join the series and said this is not his first time joining a massive and global industry. During the interview, he said that joining the WWE locker room is similar to joining the Fast and Furious franchise. With or without John Cena, both are giants in their own fields.

“I relate a lot of things to the WWE and this one falls directly in the line. Like, what was it like to join the WWE locker room? WWE is already a global phenomenon, with or without John Cena. That’s proven before I got there and certainly now that I’m not there anymore, and they’re still thriving. They don’t need me.”

But he said it is his honor and a privilege to walk in that locker room and being able to go out and perform.

Cena is similarly honored to join the cast of Fast & Furious but is also already huge without him. He noted that it is a globally successful and multi-billion-dollar franchise which has “so much star power, and action, excitement, and drama, and resource, and studio support.”
