Sinner was congratulated by a large number of tennis stars and fans for winning the 2024 Australian Open but the best and the most hilarious one was from his friend and former world no.1 Maria Sharapova.
Sharapova shared a blooper reel on her social media handle, in the video Sinner and Sharapova showcased their dancing skills on a famous Christmas carol “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”The duo wore matching reindeer antlers in the video.

Sharapova and Jannik Sinner first met through the Italian Tennis coach Riccardo Piatti and from then on they shared a special bond. In an interview with player-turned-broadcaster Rennae Stubbs last year Maria Sharapova labeled Jannik Sinner as her favorite youngster
“I’m always rooting for him. I just like his humble approach to the sport,” Sharapova told Stubbs. “I love seeing the younger generation. There’s an aura about the men’s game, it’s very evident. They have different styles of play, and different personalities, from different parts of the world, and it’s just fun to see these rivalries come together. I think the men’s game is in a good state.”
Jannik Sinner made a stunning comeback against Daniil Medvedev. He rallied from two sets down to clinch the victory at the hands of Medvedev. The first two sets were disastrous for Sinner as he was 3-6, 3-6 down, then went on to shock his opponent who was already smelling the victory, by defeating him 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 in the last three sets.
The 22-year-old became the first Italian to win the Australian Open. Sinner was playing a Major final for the first time. Sinner surprisingly defeated Novak Djokovic in the semifinal to end his long domination in the tournament and become the first Italian to win the Australian Open title
