Jake Paul has once again embarked on his usual chore of going after big names in combat sports and this time, the celebrity boxer has gone after Canelo Alvarez, saying that in only three years, he will be able to take out the undisputed 168-pound champion just like Dmitry Bivol did.
Give me three years and I take out Canelo in the same way: Jake Paul
In one of the biggest upsets of this year, Canelo Alvarez suffered a unanimous decision loss to WBA Light Heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol on 7th May at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Moments after the fight ended, Jake Paul took to social media to say that what Bivol achieved today, he will be able to in three years and will take out the pound for pound king in a similar fashion, as well as pointing himself out to be a bigger boxer than Bivol.
“And just like that Canelo Alvarez loses to Dmitry Bivol. An amazing fight by Bivol,” said Paul in a clip he shared across social media platforms, “I’m two inches bigger than Bivol and 20 pounds heavier. Give me three years and I take out Canelo in the same way. He was up on the ropes like he won but he only won three rounds in the entire fight.”
“Eddie Hearn, f*** you, you can suck my d***. “I’m coming and I’m beating Canelo in three f***ing years, I put that on my mama,” The Problem Child went on, “Congrats to Dmitry Bivol, he showed that Canelo is easily beatable by a bigger man, which is what I’ve known for a long time. Believe in yourself kids and don’t listen to those British scumbags like Eddie Hearn.” [H/T Boxingscene.com]
